The flight usually lasts 45 to 60 minutes, depending on wind conditions that day. The full experience typically takes 2 to 3 hours, including balloon preparation, sunrise takeoff, the flight over the valley, and the closing ritual after landing.

Our flights take place very early in the morning, when wind conditions are most stable. In Teotihuacán we are authorized to fly between 5am and 9am, but the sunrise flight is the optimal window for flying conditions — and for enjoying the natural spectacle of sunrise over the Valley of Teotihuacán.

Yes. From the balloon you can see the Valley of Teotihuacán, the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon, and the Avenue of the Dead from an impressive perspective. Our pilots have a very high level of experience flying in this area, so it’s rare not to see the pyramids — and depending on the wind, you may even fly over them.

That’s a very common question. Most people tell us after the flight that the experience was much calmer than they imagined. The balloon moves gently with the wind, without sudden motions — it feels more like floating quietly in the air.

Safety is always the priority. If weather conditions are not suitable to fly that day, your experience will be rescheduled to another available date.

Depending on the flight type, we can fly from 4 passengers up to the full capacity of the assigned balloon. Our pilots are certified to fly the highest-capacity balloons in Teotihuacán — including balloons that can carry up to 22 passengers in a single aircraft.

Yes — children can enjoy the experience as long as they are accompanied by an adult and are tall enough to see safely over the basket rim. Many of our flights become especially memorable for the whole family.

We recommend coming comfortable and ready for the morning. Ideally bring: • Closed shoes • Comfortable clothes • A light jacket (mornings are usually cool) • Sunglasses • A cap or hat (optional) And of course your camera or phone — the valley views are worth it.

If you decide not to board the balloon at the last moment, the experience is considered cancelled and is non-refundable. That said, it rarely happens — before the flight our team explains the full process and safety protocols so everyone feels at ease. Our balloons are in excellent condition and flown by highly prepared, competent pilots.

The most requested days are usually Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, since many people use the weekend to enjoy the experience.

You’re welcome to bring your camera or phone during the flight. Drones are not allowed during the flight, and operating them in the takeoff area requires prior authorization. That’s because flying drones in an area with balloons can cause accidents without proper experience.
